Mt. Kolvir
the hightest and Easternmost mounten in the chain that runs threw the land. The majestic peek is the cradle of the Royal Castle Amber. And more importantly the mountain houses the Pattern of Amber deep in the caverns under the castle. Castle AmberThe very center of all that is Amber. The castles it the home of the royal family. Built the shape of the royal crown it stands 2/3rds the way up Mt. Kolvir. King Random, his Wife Vialle, Princess Llwella, and Benedict can usually be found here. The City of Amber & The DocksSprawling down the base of mount Kolvir is the City of Amber. It moves down in teirs or steps towards the ocean. The cities higher class citizens live in the villas and mansions slightly up the base of the mountain. Princes Fiona, Prince Bleys, and Princess Flora all have mansions here that they stay at when they do not wish to stay in the castle itself. Below the elgant mansions are the fine merchant shops and the homes of richer merhcants. The next tier is populated by the middles class. And finaly the last level is left to the slums wrappinga roudn to the seedy downs. Along the East curve of the port are the finer Docks. Here the royal Navy sets anchor and Gerards ship "The Glowing Jewel" can be seen. The stairs to Tir-Na-Nog'th At the peek of Mt. Kolvir are a strange set of tree steps. If you come on the night of a full moon these steps connect to a atherial stiar way that leads to the phaontom city of Tir-Na-Nog'th. But tread carefully. Should the moon pass behind a cload the etheral stones you stand upon will melt away sending you plumiting into the valley below. Shimmering here within the ghostly city is one of the Three Patterns of Amber. The most dangerous of all to reach. Forest ArdenStreatching to the West it the ancient and forest Arden. It's large trees have stood there for centeries. And it is the haunt of Prince Julian who patrols it protecting the border of Amber from wnadering shadow beasts or usurpers. The Ancient Temple Ruins and the Grove of the UnicornThe Grove of the Unicorn is the place where it is said many people have had sightings of the majetic Unicorn. Godess of Amber. Due to these ledgends a temple was once built near by but has since fallen into disuse and dicay. A few priestess still live here making a home amoung the ruins and can be sught out for wisedome and spiritual guidence. It is noted the Julian built his home within easy travel of the grove and the temple. Perhaps out of piety or maybe just cause he wishes to be as far from his siblings as he can. The Valley of Garnaththis is the valley that Corwyn once travled threw when he attack Amber. Fields of AshA remind of the day Corwyn and Bleys led an army threw the valley this land still is scared by the fire Julian set to the once great forest to stop their attack. The sketons of trees once almost as old as those of Arden stand starkly in recovering fields. Some places the ash is still piled thick and the ground is still black, the stones still scared from the heat. However nature never truley dies and there are sighns of new growth and life threwout the ruins of forest. There is a polem about the Feilds of Ash in the Library of Castle Amber. No one knows who wrote it but it is said to be the work of one of the royals. Junes Falls & The Oisen RiverThe Junes Falls are the sorce to the Oisen River that runs to the ocean. It was once the site of a battel between Benedict and the Moon Riders of Ghenesh. Faiella-BioninOn the shores of the Ocean is set a stair case that leads down intot he waves. Should one transvers these stairs they will be able to walk benithe the Salty brine to the city of Remba belowe the waves. RembaThe underwater city of Remba is the magical reflection of amber. Her sister ciry that lies deep benith the waves. Ruled by Queen Moire Remba is independant from Amber but is a loyal Alley. Like Castle Amber, Remba also houses a pattern a reflection of the one within Mt Kolvir. Baylesport & BalyescrestThe small port town of Baylescrest grew up around the trade of the fine wines produced on the Bayles wineries and Baylesport to the south. The sloping low lands are perfect for the growth of grapes and many lords have country villas in this area. The most notable of them is the Arbor House. Home of Baron Bayle and his daughter Vinta. Vinta was once the long time mistress to Prince caine before his death at the hand of King Rinaldo of Kashfa. Noncannon notesJulian's cabin, The Feilds of Ash, and the Anceint temple are all noncannon locations added for the sake of my setting. ![]() |
